Here we go Tornado!

Since the touchdown of a tornado at Washington, IL in December 2013, my son has asked none stop about tornadoes and hurricanes.

To satisfy his curiosity, we went through online media resources and the library, and found some of the following items that probably would fascinate and intrigue the minds of a curious child about violent storm

Use two soft drink bottles and a connecting valve that you can purchase online or through Lakeshore Learning Store. Tornado Tube from Amazon.com

Or if you are tired of shaking and moving jars and inverting soda bottles, try this one below! I got it from www.amazon.com. Check out this link Tornado Toy from Discovery Kids

I bought this "ready" tornado without doing too much work of shaking a jar, and he can enjoy watching it whenever he feels like it.  He eventually brought it to the kitchen table at meal times and to bed!

My son and I got all these books from the library!

We also have a tornado in a jar - Make your own Tornado in a Jar!

A Marbulous Toy!

Start with something small without looking at the instruction manual!

Just keep adding onto the current ones and change things around.

We got through the 36 and 45-piece structure. And here is the 72-piece which offers so much fun, laughter and an unforgettable experience!

This is the largest structure from Marbulous, almost 121 pieces.
